Directions from Pickering –

Satellite Navigation — If you follow these directions you will have no problems finding us,however if you try to use a Sat Nav you will be sent somewhere else entirely. You have been warned!

Take the A170 heading East towards Scarborough until you reach Thornton-le-Dale.
Go down the hill into the village, turn left at the traffic lights - signposted to Dalby Forest.
Keep following the Dalby Forest signs, to the toll gate.
Continue down to the Visitors Centre, then follow the forest drive for about five miles until you see 'Activity Centre' signs and our car park on your right. (see map on download file).
From here follow our signs on foot to reception.

PLEASE NOTE – It takes around 20 mins to get from the Thornton le dale end toll gate to our car park, please allow enough time.

Mobile signal is poor in the forest so make sure you are happy with directions before you leave Thornton-le-Dale or Scarborough, if you are not, please call us on 01751 460590.

When exiting the forest, there will be a Forestry Commission toll charge of £5 per car. This is a reduced partnership rate for our customers. (coaches £40 and minibusses £20)

Please ensure your vehicle is securely locked and nothing of value is left on display. Vehicles are left at the owner’s risk. Neither Dalby Activity Centre or the Forestry Commission accept any liability if your vehicle is damaged or stolen

From Scarborough head east, through Scalby to Suffield & onto Hackness.
LOW BRIDGE IN HACKNESS. Coaches advised to use main A170 route.
Then head towards Langdale End.
Follow the road until you enter the forest.
Continue through the forest for a few miles.
Go through the barrier system.
Continue on the tarmac road around a sweeping right bend.
From here follow the forest drive for 0.5 miles until you see 'Activity Centre' signs and our car park on your left.
From here follow our signs on foot to reception.
